3 Day Narayan Nagbali Puja

Day 1 – Sankalp and Narayan Bali Puja

Day one is the day the priest performs the Sankalp (vow) and starts the Narayan Bali puja to offer prayers for peace of the souls that have left this earth and to remove the ancestral obstructions.

Day 2 – Nagbali Puja

The Nagbali puja is performed on the second day. The purpose of this puja is to atone for all sins committed against the serpent kingdom, including guilt associated with unknown karmic activities. The Nagbali puja consists of chanting certain mantras as well as making offerings.

Day 3- Final Pujas, Pind Daan

The third day is the day the final pujas are performed, pinddan, and other pujas to honour and bless the ancestors as well as offering peace to them as well as asking for blessings of happiness, prosperity, and spiritual well-being will take place.

The Purpose of the Narayan Nagbali Puja

The Narayan Nagbali Puja has a purpose to perform by the fulfilment of previous Pitru Dosh (the mistakes made by your ancestors) and other karmic debt obligations that have resulted from ancestors’ actions (known as Karmic Actions).

Preparation for the Puja

Perform the Narayan Nagbali Puja requires that you follow all of the spiritual laws relating to the puja, including performing the puja with purity, fasting if needed, and following the directions of an experienced Pandit.

Length of Time/Narrative for Performing the Puja

Generally, the Narayan Nagbali Puja can be completed in three days. The Narayan Nagbali Puja contains various rituals such as prayers, offerings and Vedic Mantras by learned Hindu priests.
